Cool Down in the Summer Heat with Ranch Dressing
Today we reached day eleven, that’s ten plus one, of over one hundred degree temperatures. We won’t see any break in the heat for another four days. My strategy to deal with the heat?
- Anybody in the house is forbidden to open up a blind.
- All doors that can be closed (i.e. to the bedroom, laundry room and even play room) have been so ordered to remain closed until the sunsets.
- The oven will be cut on only, and I mean only, if absolutely necessary.
Servings: 5-7 Prep Time: 2-5 mins Total Time: 5 mins
Ingredients:½ - 1 cup mayonnaise (depending on how maynnaisey you like it) 1 cup sour cream ½ dried or fresh tsp parsley ½ tsp dried or fresh chives ½ tsp dried or fresh dill weed ½ tsp garlic powder ½ onion powder 1/8 tsp salt 1/8 tsp black pepper
Directions:Whip together all ingredients.
Taste to see if you would like a pinch more salt or pepper or even a little more garlic or onion powder.
Add to veggies and enjoy!!
