Delicious, Cinnamony Graham Crackers
What do you give the kiddos for an after school snack? When they dig into their lunch bags, ready to attack homework (one can only hope and pray for such focus) you would hope that they are enjoying a nice, healthy treat. In my case the term healthy has a slightly different meaning. I do understand the word healthy to mean fruits and veggies, the natural kind not the ones saturated with sugar. But healthy also means for me that I can pronounce and name all ingredients. Also, in my definition of a healthy snack the word preservative is not an ingredient I particularly like. Every once in a while I do my best to supplement the kiddos favorites snacks with my self-defined version of healthy. Yes, yes this graham cracker recipe has sugar and one whole cup of butter. But for me it’s a winner because I have all of the ingredients in my kitchen and because there are no preservatives needed. In my house these graham crackers don’t last long enough to need a shelf life.
