I know that Teacher Appreciation week is the first week of May.  But I consider myself old school.  I still believe in giving the teacher a little something on the last day school.  I have heard (and must agree) time and time again that teachers see home baked goods as a sign of appreciation, but not necessarily as something they want to gobble down.  Scented candles would also be included in this list.  If you are like me you want a gift to show more than appreciation, but also be something that the teacher you so love can use.  Here are a few suggestions that are not only useful but friendly to the pockets:
