Grilled Barbecue Chicken Wings
Will you and the family get together for Memorial Day? Memorial Day is about more than cooking out. And I am sure many families in the middle of the circle of family prayer before dinner will remember those who lost their lives in service. But before the circle of prayer can even happen you better believe there has been some serious preparation – more than likely by the family members known since birth to be the most organized and ambitious. Most families are off from work and able to travel for holidays like Memorial Day. It’s the perfect time to have a family reunion, big or small. More than likely the family cookout plans include:
- Uncle Larry on the grill as usual.
- Cousin Lil George and Big Zellie’s youngest son frying fish.
- Someone from the younger generation designated by their aunt or mama to come up with suitable family reunion background music – with strict instructions to exclude rap music, unless it is Sugar Hill Gang or Run DMC, and to better include the O’Jays “Family Reunion.
