Spaghetti’s Best Friend: Cheesy (Garlic) Bread
What goes best with spaghetti? Bread of course, and cheesy bread is even better. I used to pick up the pre-sliced and heavily buttered garlic bread from the grocery store, frozen or fresh. But usually when I do the slices are an inch think, so we end up throwing most of it away. And I have to turn the oven vent on high and open up my back door because the excessive butter slathered on top drains off in the bottom of my toaster oven, causing my smoke alarm to wake up. I am over that. This time for spaghetti I made my own version of garlic bread. It was just the right size, had two cheeses (whether or not you see that as good or bad is up to you) and light butter!
Servings: 2 grown people, 1 teen girl and 1 growing eight year old boy and 1 6 year old girl (times 2…or three if you use the entire roll of bread) Prep Time: 5-7 mins Cook Time: 2-5 mins Total Time: 10-12 mins

Melt one garlic clove in butter. Remove garlic clove. Slice French roll ½ inch thick. Rub each slice well with melted butter. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese, then Parmesan. Add oregano flakes. Place in toaster oven to your desired crispiness.
