Sweet and Spicy Shrimp
I’ve heard many people say that a girl marries her father and…I think that I have. My daddy has never been a restaurant kind of man. Even on special occasions like his birthday my daddy would rather a home cooked meal that leads to leftovers he can then re-heat for the next few days. And I must say that the hubby is the same way – well sort of. My daddy prefers birthday dinners that are full of after church Sunday dinner soul. The hubby on the other hand can go for soulful home cooked birthday meal or a birthday meal that is restaurant inspired. This birthday year he’s requested a shrimp dish similar to a restaurant we usually go to on my birthday. I can dig it. Just as long as the hubby knows, when it comes to special occasions for me I am like my mama. I prefer the nice restaurant over the home cooked meal.
