Turkey Sub Sandwiches…For Lunch or Dinner

 
 
I love going out to eat like the next mama.  It saves me from standing in the kitchen.  But for a family of five we can spend anywhere from $40 or more to eat out, easy.  Even on something as simple as a sub sandwich.  Recently on our last visit to the sub shop I thought to myself “I can do that.”  So, I did. I came up with this easy sandwich that takes less than 20 minutes to put together, feeds a family of five with leftovers and cost me less than $10 to make.. Winning!

 

Servings: 2 grown people, 1 teen and 2 little people.

Total Time: 15 minutes
 
Turkey Sub Sandwich For Lunch or Dinner
 
 

Ingredients:

1 French Roll
Mayonnaise
Mustard
½ cup of chopped lettuce
1/3 cup of chopped spinach
3 slices of tomato
3 thin slices of onion
3 slices of provolone cheese
12 slices of turkey
Salt
Pepper
Oregano
Red Wine vinegar

 

 

Directions:

  1. Cut French roll in half

2. Apply as much mayonnaise and mustard as your heart desires
3. Chop lettuce, spinach and spread on one half of French roll

4. Slice tomato and onions and spread over lettuce and spinach.

5. Add turkey.
6. Drizzle Red Wine vinegar on veggie side.

7. Sprinkle salt, pepper and oregano.
8. Place turkey and cheese side on top off veggie half of sandwich.

9. Slice and serve.
